Deborah Tanzy was born and raised in the Hill Country near Kerrville, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Ecology. For 17 years she lived in New Mexico. While raising her family in New Mexico, she attended New Mexico State University and received a Maters degree in Education. In December of 2016 she moved to Gardner, Colorado to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and 3 grandchildren.
Her educational experience includes 5 years as a Substitute Teacher, 5 years as an Educational Assistant, 3 years teaching 2nd grade, and 3 years teaching science at the 7th and 8th grade level.
Ms. Tanzy has three grown children, two sons who still live in New Mexico, and one daughter living in Gardner.
Some of Ms. Tanzy’s hobbies include camping, hunting, sewing, quilting, jewelry making, crafting, and reading.
