Camilla Romero Camilla was raised in Huerfano County, Colorado. She has numerous cousins that still live here. Her family is very important to her, which is one of the reasons she decided to teach in Gardner. Camilla was a paraprofessional at John Mall High School in Walsenburg for 3 years. She is very dedicated and compassionate toward the education of her students. While working as a paraprofessional, she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services from Colorado State University Global Campus. After trying a different career path she realized that teaching is where her passion lies and was so grateful to be given an opportunity to teach at the Gardner school. Teaching at the Gardner school allows her to be closer to her family and to make a positive contribution to her community. Camilla plans to teach at the Gardner school for many years to come!
Camilla loves being outdoors; she is an avid big game hunter, loves hiking, and enjoys cross country skiing. She also enjoys reading and creating pictures with oil pastel and water paint. She is a dedicated Sundancer and loves to attend Inipi Ceremonies which are held in Turkey Creek, north of Gardner.
