The Common Application is nice because you can fill it out once and use it to apply to several colleges.

College in Colorado –
This is a great resource to help students learn about how the things they like and the things they are good at doing can develop into a place to start their career. It is FREE! Not only can students use this resource while in school, they can use it as adults as they go through the changes life brings.

Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) –

Federal Student Aid is responsible for managing the student financial assistance programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965. These programs provide grants, loans, and work-study funds to students attending college or career school.

The due date is TBD. This is a long application and it is best if you answer in Word and cut and past answers onto the form.

Greenhouse Scholars –
Applications must be submitted online by December 8, 2014. This is a renewable need-based college scholarship of up to $5,000 per year.

National Co-op Scholarship Program –

2015 Profile in Courage Essay contest –
First place winner receives a $5,000 cash award and $5,000 to grow in a John Hancock Freedom 529 College Saving Plan.

Deadline: TBD.

Free Speech Essay Contest –

This is due by TBD and first prize is $10,000.

Gates Millennium Scholars Program –
The due date is January 14, 2015 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time.

White Rose Scholarship –
This must be postmarked by January 12, 2015.

Alert Magazine Scholarship –

This scholarship does not have a deadline. The value of this scholarship is $500.

Colorado Society of Mayflower Descendants Scholarship –
Applications are due by March 1, 2015. This is a $1,000 scholarship.

Signet Classic Student Scholarship Essay Contest –
This scholarship is due by 04/14/2015 and is valued at $1,000.

Due date is 12/21/2014 and value is $1,000.

AXA Achievement Scholarship –
Due date: December 2014. Non-renewable. $1,000-$25,000 Value.

Buick Achievers Scholarship –
Due 2-27-15. $25,000 renewable for four years. Major focus engineering, technology, design or business, with an interest in the automotive indurstry.

Kit Faragher Scholarship –
$5,000 paid over the first two years of college. Due: May, 22, 2015
